Compasso D'oro Adi - Honorable Mention

The Compasso d'Oro ADI Award, established in 1954, is the oldest and most important world award dedicated to industrial design. The award, born from an idea of the architect Gio Ponti, was for years organized by the department stores la Rinascente, with the aim of highlighting the value and quality of the products of Italian design then in its early days. A few years later the initiative was donated to ADI which has been organizing it since 1958, guaranteeing its impartiality and integrity.
In the more than 60 years of this award, over 350 projects have been awarded together with around 2000 Honorable Mention. The awarded projects are collected and kept in the Historical Collection of the ADI Compasso d'Oro Award managed by the ADI Foundation, set up for this purpose by ADI in 2001.
